Article: DuPont Merck Obtains U.S. Rights for Innohep(R) Anticoagulant Drug

WILMINGTON, Del., March 26 /PRNewswire/ -- DuPont Merck said today it has obtained U.S. rights for Innohep(R) (tinzaparin sodium) low-molecular weight heparin (LMWH) and expects to launch it in 1999 or 2000 for prevention and treatment of thrombosis.

"We expect that Innohep, if approved for marketing by the Food and Drug Administration, will be a valuable addition to our line of thrombosis products that are currently marketed or in clinical development," said Paul G. Howes, President and CEO of DuPont Merck.
