Retail stores are increasingly becoming targets of organized retail crime groups as 92% of retailers report their companies were victims of organized retail crime this year, a rise of 8% over the previous year, according to the NATIONAL RETAIL FEDERATION's (NRF) fifth annual Organized Retail Crime survey of 115 companies. Some 73% also stated that the level of organized retail crime activity increased over the past 12 months, 11% more than in 2008.
