Emma Watson, the 19-year-old actress who shot to fame at the age of 12 playing the young witch Hermione Granger in the Harry Potter movie series, seems to have sailed serenely into adulthood in spite of the pressures of being in the spotlight early.
She is now a young, poised adult with millions in the bank, a place at university in the US, a house in an upmarket area of London, and a financier boyfriend. When Emma models clothes for style shoots, it comes as no surprise to learn she was born in the fashion capital Paris, where her lawyer parents worked in the 90s.
