CAROLINA LEGWEAR LIMITED'S FIRST BRAND OFF TO A FAST START
Carolina Legwear Limited, the unique marketing consortium created by six North Carolina hosiery companies last fall, is already offering a couple of its own sock brands to retailers.
First deliveries of Ice Cream Sox were made this month and Catawba River brand socks are expected to ship in May, according to Allen Jones, Carolina Legwear president and CEO.
Anthony Hosiery Mills, Hickory Finishing Co., L&R Knitting, Mauney Hosiery Mills, N.C. Sock Co. and Socks & Things pooled their efforts last September to form the novel marketing strategy (DNR, Oct. 8, 1997).
