Marina Post has never had to go far to find a unique gift. She always goes straight to Findables, a home decor store and North Side fixture for 24 years.
But soon, she'll have to look elsewhere. Like so many small businesses, Findables has succumbed to the recession. It will close at the end of August.
For Ms. Post, it's not just the inconvenience. As when any local institution shuts its doors, losing Findables will tear a hole in the neighborhood fabric.
