When Mark Larco opened Larco's Italian Chophouse in Troy in 1990, life was good.
Businesses near his Big Beaver Road location were booming. Business executives were busy entertaining clients. Fine dining flourished.
Those days are now a distant memory.
On July 3, Larco said goodbye to his once-proud Italian eatery. Ten days later, at the same address, he was celebrating the grand opening of his new Big Beaver Tavern.
"It just seemed to me that this is what the public wants, so the transformation would be good for me, he said.
