KraussMaffei Corp. booked orders worth $6.5 million from NPE2009 for its three businesses injection molding presses, extruders and polyurethane processing equipment.
President Paul Caprio said that is an increase of more than 60 percent from the prior NPE, in 2003. He noted the solid results came "even in the severe economic downturn that has hit the American automotive industry, and in consequence many plastics processors, extremely hard.
KraussMaffei, along with many other machinery makers, cut back its NPE spending significantly, Caprio said.
