OTTAWA, ONTARIO, Jul 24, 2009 (Marketwire via COMTEX) -- The Honourable Greg Thompson, Minister of Veterans Affairs, and the Honourable Stockwell Day, Minister of International Trade, Asia Pacific Gateway and Regional Minister for British Columbia, today announced federal government support for six projects in British Columbia honouring Veterans and those who made the ultimate sacrifice:
- The 879 (Earl MacLeod) RCAF Wing Air Force Association of Canada for a re-dedication ceremony at the Memorial Garden located at Chilliwack Middle School.
- The Royal Canadian Legion Branch #172 for the annual candlelight ceremony at God's Acre Cemetery in Esquimalt.
