Sir -- With the exception of Gene Kerrigan's articles, I am becoming increasingly annoyed with your newspaper's criticism of the public service. Articles covering public sector pay in your edition on July 12 were disturbing.
I am a public service clerical officer who did comparable work in the private sector. I am not and have never been a trade union member.
In moving to the public service, I incurred a 20 per cent pay cut, instead of a 50 per cent increase which your newspaper reported on July 12.
