BEIJING, July 27 Asia Pulse - The People's Bank of China (PBC), the central bank, has issued directed central bank bills to certain commercial banks, requesting they make payments in September, China Securities Journal Friday quoted informed sources as saying.
Directed central bank bills are included within the toolkit of open market operations, which could lock up part of the monetary base in commercial banks. Also, the yield of these bills is usually lower than the market's.
