Jul 27, 2009 (The Australian - ABIX via COMTEX) -- The acquisition of the FoodLink operations in 2005 marked the first foray of grocery wholesaling group Metcash into the food service segment. It now plans to expand that side of its business, and supply restaurants across the nation rather than just its traditional client base of supermarkets. FoodLink was originally based in Western Australia, and during the year to 30 April 2009 grew its turnover by 10.9% to $A200m and more.
