NORTH ADAMS, Mass. -- If there wasn't an official proclamation from the mayor of North Adams, there should have been. Saturday was Steve Reich Day at MASS MoCA. The highlight of the day was the evening performance of the Pulitzer Prize-winning composer's classic '76 piece "Music For 18 Musicians," which was performed by the faculty and fellows of the Bang On a Can Summer Music Institute at the museum's Hunter Center.
But there was much more going on.
