MILWAUKEE -- The Milwaukee Brewers made a move to bolster their pitching staff Saturday - but it wasn't the result of a blockbuster trade.

A day after an elbow problem forced out reliever Seth McClung in the ninth inning, the Brewers placed the big right-hander on the 15-day disabled list with a sprained right elbow. Milwaukee was due to recall right-hander Tim Dillard, who was 10-4 with a 3.66 ERA in 19 starts at Class AAA Nashville, today.

The move was announced after manager Ken Macha's pre-game session with reporters, though Macha had hinted it could happen.

It remains to be seen ...
