The Churchland Swim Club recently hosted the 22nd annual Western Tidewater Swimming Association All-Star meet at its facility on Tyre Neck Road. Nine teams, including the Churchland club's Stingrays, ripped through the water for bragging rights and the opportunity to break standing records. In the end, the Stingrays walked away the 2009 Regular Season Champs as well as the WTSA All-Star Champs. They also set several new team and league records. The Stingrays have 117 members between the ages of 4 and 18.
