Tourism folk, Waterfront shopkeepers and civilised taxi operators are looking forward to the QE2 berthing in the harbour for a protracted period.
Certainly, thousands of tourists will want to enjoy time aboard - at a price - and will also take in the sights of the Cape and shop with their foreign currency.
The owners had hoped to use the ship in Dubai as a floating hotel and conference centre, like the original Queen Mary that has been in California since Cunard sold it in 1967.
