SANA'A, July15 -- The Yemeni national legal framework contains gender inequalities that bar rural female agricultural workers from accessing resources and entrepreneurship, according to a recent report from the International Labor Organization (ILO).
As stated in the report, 88 percent of women in Yemen work in the agricultural sector, mostly as informal unpaid workers. As traditional livelihood systems decline, women are becoming increasingly marginalized across the country.
