CHED EVANS is going back to his U21 roots and Welsh football needs him to use the opportunity as a fresh start.
John Toshack yesterday chose to drop Sheffield United's new pounds 3m man back down a level for the U21 match with Hungary on August 12, rather than pick him in his senior squad for their friendly with Montenegro that night.
The Hungary clash is a competitive fixture, the Montenegro game is a meaningless friendly.
As such, in a funny sort of way you could argue the U21s have the more important fixture.
