Home prices rising
BOSTON - The median selling price for a single-family home in Massachusetts topped $300,000 in June, the first time that has happened since last August. Two separate reports on the state's housing market also show that while prices and sales were lower last month than in June 2008, the year-over-year declines are moderating.
The Massachusetts Association of Realtors reported yesterday that the median selling price for a single-family home was $306,000 last month, down 8.6 percent from a year ago. The group said sales were down only 1.9 percent and pending sales at the end of the month were 5 percent ...
