Watch out, Taos. Dave Hickey is ready for us. The question is: Is Taos ready for Dave Hickey?
He's squinting into the high desert sun, cigarette smoldering, bullwhip by his side. He ain't gonna take no guff off nobody.
"When you do panels with these guys," he says, referring to Dennis Hopper, Larry Bell, and the four other Taos-Los Angeles artist-buddies who are currently exhibiting at the Harwood Museum of Art, "you're sort of like a stagecoach driver. You kind of just try to keep them on the road. So there's no telling what will happen."
