CHICAGO - The annual meeting of the American Association for Clinical Chemistry (AACC, Washington) and Clinical Lab Expo, held here in late July, is the world?s largest forum for introduction of new clinical diagnostic products, as well as for discussion of the latest developments and trends in the field. This year?s conference was particularly noteworthy, coming shortly after the announcement of a set of acquisitions that will create a new top 10 diagnostics company and could signal a fundamental structural change in the industry.
