VALID Systems ("VALID") announced this morning that on July 9, 2009, it filed a federal lawsuit against Chexar Networks, Inc. ("Chexar") in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Texas alleging infringement by Chexar of VALID's United States Patent No. 7,529,710 ("the '710 Patent") (see also VALID Systems).
The United States Patent and Trademark Office issued the '710 Patent, which is entitled "Monitoring Transactions by a Non-Account Holder," to VALID on May 5, 2009.
