Mar. 30--The basement is dug; the walls are up; the roof is on.
And now, owners of the $78 million Downtown Lazarus store are considering cutting a hole in that brand-new roof.
That would make room for a luminaire, a large, backlit glass apparatus that would cast a soft glow inside the building, much like a skylight.
It would have been easier to arrange for the hole earlier in the building process, but a luminaire only recently has been discussed.
