SAN DIEGO, April 2 /PRNewswire/ -- Desmos announced today the completion of the construction of its pilot plant manufacturing facility at its existing site in San Diego. The primary goal of the pilot plant is to produce clinical grade laminin-5 for the periodontal clinical trials that are currently planned for 1998. In addition, the pilot plant increases production capacity to support research in bioenhancement of medical devices and cell transplantation.
