Today's legend of Auburn really deserves that moniker, and his family does, too. He is Patrick R. Penafeather and his kin. What about these legends?
Penafeather was born Sept. 24, 1970.
His mom, the former Sharon Burke, was born Feb. 8, 1950, at Auburn Memorial Hospital. Her mother is Emily Burke, who worked at the snack bar at AMH and also at Enna Jettick Shoes. She now lives at the Boyle Center. Sharon's dad was Jim Burke, who was a former Auburn fireman and later drove a bus for Centro. Sharon has worked for many moons with my wife, Helen, at Laura's Hallmark in Grant Avenue Mall and kiddingly told me ...
