Oman-based Ahli Bank SAOG has reported an increase in its second quarter net profit.

The bank reported that its net operating income grew by 14 percent to OMR7.76m in the first half of 2009 compared to OMR6.78m for the same period in year 2008. Operating expenses increased by 30 percent to OMR3.78m. The net profit was OMR3.42m, lower than results reported for the same period of 2008.
