Canadian oil and gas company Petro-Canada's (TSX: PCA) Trinidad & Tobago offshore gas production averaged 71Mf3/d (2.01Mm3/d) in the second quarter, up 12.7% from 2Q08.
The company attributed the increase to higher demand from Atlantic LNG and increased field availability.
In the Caribbean country, Petro-Canada's operations include exploration in shallow blocks 1a and 1b and deepwater block 22. The company also has a 17.3% working interest in the North Coast Marine Area operated by the UK's BG Group (LSE: BG).
