Introduction
Since the late 1960s the issues surrounding technology in education have evolved to reflect contemporary times. No longer is the emphasis on incorporating computers and technology into education, but on using them efficiently for teaching and learning. This paper will explore how technology has been included in the Australian secondary school music curriculum since the late 1960s, discussing significant events in the recent history of Australian music education, such as the arrival of MIDI (Musical Instrument Digital Interface) in 1982.
