Get sacked for abusive behaviour: SC

New Delhi, Jul 30 (PTI) An employee can be sacked if he uses abusive language against his superior even if he/she had been assigned work which is not part of his original job, the Supreme Court of India has ruled.

A bench of Justices Tarun Chatterjee and H S Bedi passed the ruling while upholding an appeal filed by Kolkata-based Biecco Lawrie Ltd which had sacked one of its employees Provash Chandra Mondal more than 24 years ago.
