Argentina's Neuquen province has opened the economic bids to develop the 640MW Chihuido hydro project, the provincial government reported.

Temporary business union (UTE) Benito Roggio e Hijos, Corso Corviam, Esuco and Supercemento proposed a fixed charge for the project of US$23,185/MW/month and a variable charge of US$2.82/MWh. The UTE offered to finance US$340mn of the construction costs.

UTE Electroingenieria, Constructora OAS and Hidrocuyo offered a fixed rate of US$42,341/MW/month and a variable fee of US$8.00/MWh. The union proposed financing of US$1.2bn from Banco Cordoba and US$730mn from Brazil's national development ...
