CHESAPEAKE - Mildred Rawls Pierce, 81, passed away Saturday, Aug. 1, 2009.
She was a native of Berkley and was the daughter of the late Robert and Mamie Rawls. She was a member of Deep Creek Baptist Church, Ester Sunday School Class, Joyful Sounds Sr. Adult Choir and Telephone Pioneers of America. She was predeceased by her husband, Robert Julian Pierce.
She is survived by a daughter, Anita Korkmaz and husband Aytac of Jacksonville, Fla.; three sons, Larry Pierce and wife Mary of Tyner, N.C., Robert "Bobby" Pierce and wife Susan of Jacksonville and Brian Pierce and wife Bonnie of Sumerville, S.C.; two sisters, Tina Willoughby of ...
