University of Michigan spinoffs, Ann Arbor
* Accord Biomaterials Inc. makes coatings for medical devices that come into contact with blood. It received its first funding last year, with investors including Ann Arbor-based Arboretum and the Wolverine Venture Fund, UM's student-led investment fund.
* Accuri Cytometers Inc., a medical device company that has raised $27 million in funding, including a round of $4 million announced July 13.
