Fortress Investment Group: Daniel H. Mudd, 50, was appointed to the position of chief executive, replacing Wesley R. Edens, a Fortress co-founder, effective Aug. 11. Mr. Mudd currently serves on the firm's board of directors and will retain that position. Most recently, he served as president and chief executive of Fannie Mae. He has also served as president and chief executive of GE Capital Japan and president of GE Capital Asia-Pacific.
Ernst & Young: Bob Lehman, 49, was named global leader of the real estate investment trust practice. He will continue in his current role as Northeast real estate industry leader.
