Bayer moving Northeast film production
PITTSBURGH Bayer MaterialScience LLC will shift some of its polycarbonate film production from Connecticut to Massachusetts by the end of the year.
Pittsburgh-based Bayer will move production of Makrofol-brand PC film and Bayfol-brand PC blend film from Berlin, Conn., to Whately, Mass., officials said in a July 20 news release. The Berlin site employs 20, some of whom will be offered positions in Whately.
The move will enable Bayer to meet the changing demands of the market and strengthen its U.S. production, said Richard Sabatine, vice president of functional films and specialties for North America. All ...
