KraussMaffei Corp. booked orders worth $6.5 million from NPE 2009 for its three businessesinjection molding presses, extruders and polyurethane processing equipment.
President Paul Caprio said that is an increase of more than 60 percent from the prior NPE show. Speaking at the recent NPE show held in Chicago, he noted the solid results came even in the severe economic downturn that has hit the American automotive industry and many processors extremely hard.
KraussMaffei, along with many other machinery makers, cut back its NPE spending significantly, Caprio said.
