CHRISSIE LEWANDOWSKI knows only too well how "rubbish" holidays can be when you're a single parent.
She joined the ranks of nine million single parents in the UK after she split with her husband in 2005, and says her first holiday experiences were "pretty miserable".
"We'd go camping, I'd put the kids to bed and I'd sit outside by myself," explains the mother from Stockport.
"It was the isolation - you just feel like you're Billy No Mates as you sit watching everybody else have a good time."
After a few attempts with her two daughters, now aged seven and nine, she'd had enough. Not one to sit and moan, she organised a group holiday ...
