Peter Lytle developed his business acumen as a 6-year-old who collected flat rocks from Lake Michigan, then took them back to his native Dubuque, Iowa, and recruited his neighborhood friends to help him sell the "Michigan Skippers."
It was the first of many ventures for Lytle, an entrepreneur, mentor, teacher and consultant who spent his life developing niche businesses and breathing life into companies on the verge of going under.
