NEW YORK -- The National Labor Relations Board will issue a complaint against Mademoiselle Knitwear Inc. sometime next week, charging the contractor with failing to bargain with its union for a new contract.
Alvin Blyer, NLRB regional director, told WWD Thursday that the complaint also will include a charge of failing to make required contributions into certain benefit funds. The complaint will be based on various charges filed over the past 10 months by the apparel workers union UNITE and its Local 155.
