Article: Waha takes delivery of first two anchor handling tug vessels.

(ADPnews) - Aug 4, 2009 - Waha Maritime, part of Abu Dhabi-based Waha Capital (ABD:WAHA), said yesterday it has received its first two anchor handling tug (AHT) vessels.

The first ship, Waha I, is a 48-metre-long vessel powered by two Caterpillar engines of up to 5,150 brake horsepower (BHP). The second one, Waha II, is a 38-metre-long twin screw with a 5,000 BHP Niigata engine.

The vessels were purchased by Waha Offshore Marine Services, Waha Maritime's offshore support vessel owning and operating arm.

The two vessels were built in Malaysia and will be technically managed by Stanford Marine, ...
