WPI, CellThera research advances

WORCESTER - Researchers from the Worcester Polytechnic Institute Life Sciences and Bioengineering Center and CellThera, a privately held company, reported they have found a way to turn on stem cell genes in human skin cells without inserting extra genes or using viruses.

The research was published online in the journal Cloning and Stem Cells. Fundsfor the work were supplied by WPI, the National Institutes of Health, the U.S. Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency and the Army Research Office.
