The American Recovery and Reinvestment Act is benefiting Beaver Dam in a big way.
Wisconsin Gov. Jim Doyle appeared in Beaver Dam Monday afternoon, announcing that nearly $20 million in funding has been awarded to the city to upgrade its wastewater treatment facility.
Half of the money will be funded as an ARRA stimulus grant, with the remaining $10 million provided in the form of a low-interest loan from the state s Clean Water Revolving Loan Fund.
