Chlorinated paraffin as flame-retarding agent and polyvinyl chloride (PVC) plasticizer is extensively used in plastic, cable material, flooring material, hose, artificial leather and rubber sectors. It is also used as additive in coatings and lube oils.
With the rapid development of the plastic sector in China, the demand for plasticizers and flame-retarding agents has increased remarkably. Due to the unstable supply of raw materials, major plasticizers such as dioctyl phthalate (DOP) and dibutyl phthalate (DBP) have a high price and cannot meet the needs in the plastic sector.
