Charles K. Moran of Westwood, an Xaverian Brother for 52 years, died unexpectedly Sunday. He was 69.
Born and raised in New York, Brother Charles later became a resident of Westwood.
He attended Xaverian College and received an undergraduate degree from Catholic University. He also completed a graduate degree in history from Colgate University.
After graduating, he joined the Congregation of the Brothers of St. Francis Xavier and was clothed in the holy habit in September 1957.
He taught at Cardinal Hayes High School in the Bronx, N.Y., and then Notre Dame High School in Utica, N.Y., for eight years. In 1972, Brother Charles joined the ...
