Swiss generic drug maker Acino Holding AG (ACIN.EB) said Tuesday it has received regulatory approval to sell its generic version of blood thinner Plavix in four European countries.

The Basel-based company's drug Clopidogrel is a copycat version of Sanofi Aventis SA's (SNY) blockbuster Plavix. Bristol-Myers Squibb Co. (BMY) sells Plavix in the U.S.
