National Hydropower Association member American Municipal Power, Inc., today broke ground on the first of five hydroelectric projects being developed at existing dams on the Ohio River, nearly Hawesville, Kentucky. AMP's five proposed projects represent the largest development of new run-of-river hydroelectric project in the United States.
