- Malaysia Airlines (MAS) (3786) is back in the black with a record second quarter net profit of RM876 million, helped by gains on fuel hedge contracts.
- Rubber glovemaker Latexx Partners Bhd (7064) is expanding more quickly than planned to meet the sudden big orders from hospitals in the US, Europe and Latin America in the wake of the influenza A (H1N1) pandemic.
- AirAsia Bhd (5099) says it will defer taking delivery of eight Airbus planes in 2010 to 2014 as the low-cost carrier terminal (LCCT) in Sepang cannot accommodate its fleet expansion.
