Governor celebrates new advanced battery facility that will bring 550 jobs to Holland
HOLLAND, Mich., Aug. 7 /PRNewswire/ -- Michigan Governor Jennifer Granholm today visited the Johnson Controls Technical Center in Holland, Michigan, in recognition of this week's Department of Energy announcement that Johnson Controls was awarded a $299 million grant under the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA). The grant will be used to build domestic manufacturing capacity for advanced batteries for hybrid and electric vehicles.
