Returning from Crete, Cristina Lyons decided to give her bathroom a makeover and re-create the marble one from her holiday apartment.

"Beautiful stone and marble is quarried all over Greece, so it's relatively inexpensive to buy real stone tiles. They are used in most hotel bathrooms," explains Cristina.

"Every time I came home from my holiday apartment, back to my grotty carpeted bathroom, I wondered why we get it so wrong in this country.
