The man accused in the 1980 slayings of two Jefferson County teens will not be returned to Wisconsin from Kentucky until next week, authorities said Thursday.
Moving Edward W. Edwards, 76 - who suffers from a number of medical conditions including diabetes, leukemia and heart ailments, is on oxygen and needs a wheelchair - could cost the county thousands of dollars.
"It looks like we'll have to have some sort of medical ambulance, whether it's air or ground, with doctors or nurses along with the proper apparatus," said Detective Sgt. Larry Lee of the Jefferson County Sheriff's Department. ...
