SUNNYVALE, Calif., April 28 /PRNewswire/ -- Envirotest Systems Corp. (Amex: ENR) today announced it has signed a contract with the State of Minnesota to extend the state's Motor Vehicle Inspection/Maintenance (I/M) Program contract with Envirotest for another year. The program generated approximately $7.0 million in fiscal 1997 revenues for Envirotest.
Through the Minnesota I/M program, Envirotest conducts approximately one million tests per year. Envirotest's Minnesota program initially became operational on July 1, 1991. The contract will now be subject to renewal June 30, 1999.
