Following the granting of an option to earn 50% of the Apoquindo copper project in Chile to resource producer Minera in April, the project's owner Apoquindo Minerals (TSX-V: AQM) has shifted its main focus to the Zafranal deposit in Peru, the company's recently appointed CEO Bruce Turner told BNamericas.
Apoquindo gained exposure to Zafranal in March through the signing of a JV agreement on the part of its Peruvian subsidiary Minera KoriTambo to earn an initial 51%. The company optioned the property from Canada's Teck (TSX: TCK).
